June 01, performance artist Marina Abramović opens the new solo show “Dozing Consciousness” at Galleri Brandstrup in Oslo. Two days before the opening, Abramović meets writer, psychiatrist and professor Finn Skårderud for a “Talk About Life”, at Latter in Oslo.
November 24 Henie Onstad Art Center will open their doors for the critically acclaimed retrospective exhibition “The Cleaner”, which is currently shown at Moderna Museet in Stockholm and is opening at Louisiana in Copenhagen June 16.
Marina Abramović, originally from Ex-Yugoslavia and now living in New York, first opened her first solo show in Norway at Galleri Brandstrup at Tjuvholmen in 2012. The year after, she did the historical performance “The Scream”, when she showed the interactive artwork by the same title at the Ekeberg Sulpture Park in Oslo, also involving sculpture and video.
- We are very proud that one of the most well-known contemporary artist’s once again has chosen to work with us for her new solo show, and that she later will show a broad body of work at Henie Onstad Art Center, says Gallerist Kim Brandstrup.

• Monday May 29 at 7 p.m., Marina Abramović will meet Finn Skårderud to “Talk About Life” at Latter, arranged by Aftenposten and Galleri Brandstrup. The ticket sales will start May 1, and all inquiries about tickets must be made to Aftenposten Event. The artist will not be available for interviews this day.
